Wednesday, July 16, 2008 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) – The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort was nominated for Happenings Magazine’s 2008 “Best Companies to Work for in North East Pennsylvania” award in the medium business category.

The award was based on nominations sent in by employees, and was open to all businesses located throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. The entry forms asked employees to outline the positive aspects of working for their company.

Shawnee received six nominations mentioning perks such as complimentary or discounted rates for resort activities such as spa treatments, fitness facilities, and golf. In addition, employees receive free passes to broadway quality plays at The Shawnee Playhouse, and an opportunity to work in a wonderful environment where beautiful surroundings and friendly people are the most common decorations.
